JAMES OLIVER WILLIAMS
James Oliver Williams was born on February 24, 1936. He was graduated from East Carolina University and received Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees [Ph.D.] in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was a captain in the U.S. Army Reserve, a journalist with the Rocky Mount Evening Telegram and the Raleigh News and Observer and professor of political science at North Carolina State University.

He is the author of books and scholarly articles on American, Chinese and North Carolina politics and public administration. Active in politics, he was elected to the Raleigh city council and was a candidate for mayor of Raleigh and a delegate to Democratic national conventions.
He married Julia Kendall of Fayetteville.
Julia is a graduate of East Carolina University with B.A. and M.A degrees in business education. She taught at Peace College and Enloe High School.
They have two sons, James Kendall Williams, born on September 12, 1966, and Lindsey Taylor Williams, born on April 25, 1975 and three grandchildren, Austin, Marion and Ann Lauren Williams.

Ken Williams was graduated from Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Va. and attended Davidson College. He has a B.A. in philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
He is an internet and network security specialist and a consultant with Computer Associates in Kansas City, Kansas.
Ken and his wife, Amee, live in Kansas City, Missouri. Amee is a native of Missouri.

Lindsey Williams is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA degree in history. He has a Master of Divinity degree from Reform Theological Seminary in Charlotte.
Lindsey is pastor of Midtown Community Church in Raleigh, a Presbyterian church he helped establish. He formerly was associate pastor of Uptown Christ Covenant Presbyterian Church in Charlotte.
Lindsey married Kara Whiteside of Rocky Mount. Kara is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has taught in the public schools and has worked in Christian counseling in Charlotte.
They are the parents of a son, Austin Laurence Williams, and two daughters, Marion Blair and Ann Lauren.
